My Hustler

My Hustler (1965) dir. Andy Warhol
“The fact is that the human capacity for life in the world always implies an ability to transcend and to be alienated from the processes of life itself, while vitality and liveliness can be conserved only to extent that men are willing to the take the burden, the toil and trouble of life, upon themselves.” -Hannah Arendt

Set at a Fire Island beach house, this cinematic experiment follows an older man seeking the company of a young hustler.  The film then turns to the hustler himself to explore the ins and outs of the business and lifestyle.
